Canada Geese are beginning to pair up, build nests and lay their eggs. They will do so late March through early May and then a new generation of geese will be born, who in turn will add greatly over the years to existing populations.

Under typical conditions, 10 geese (5 nesting pairs) today will lead to 270 geese in 8 years and those 270 geese will become 1,280 geese 4 years after that. Coating the eggs with corn oil before they are too far developed halts that biological process in a humane manner.
